The adventurers decided to go back to Bendajee using the lower door on the Infinite Staircase. Once there, they used the Circlet of Seeming to appear as a troupe of dancing girls and rent boys in order to make their way out of the house and through the city streets unnoticed.
They found their way to the Golden Goose where they met Juan de los Aguilars, a Human Bard. He needed heroes to help him rescue his wealthy patron’s daughter from a cult.
In the catacombs beneath the city streets, the party found the cult preparing to sacrifice the girl to their snake-god by pushing her into the gaping mouth of a giant stone snake-head. The adventurers made quick work of the cultists, until a Hydra emerged from the statue’s maw!
Formosa and Gloucester found themselves with the Hydra between them and their companions, who were fleeing. They did the same, but in the opposite direction: by jumping into the open mouth of the statue!
