After a night at the inn, the adventurers headed into the woods to use the small wickerman they had found in Neyata’s lair to contact Griselda the Green Hag. They were surprised to be met instead by a Tiefling Warlock called Zabrina who claimed to be her emissary.
Zabrina was able to tell the party that Neyata had obtained part of the Black Magic Ritual from Griselda and that she had used one of the Fey Crossings in Griselda’s garden to escape. However, if they wanted to follow, the Green Hag would want something in return, and Villitch offered up his preserved orchid, a symbol of a love lost, which the Hag accepted with unsettling glee.
Crossing over into Elfland, the party put off their pursuit for the moment and decided to look for Tom Turtletobb, who was noted on their treasure map as possessing the skull of Sir Adam. They needed to reunite the long-dead paladin’s skull with his body in order to put the ghost to rest and obtain the Dragonslayer for use in their ultimate showdown with Zovatora the Red Dragon for the Crown of Kings.
Taking one of Griselda’s Goblins as a guide, Zabrina led the party through the endless twilight of Elfland looking for who she knew to be Tom the Druid and his giant turtle, Tobb. The adventurers had to answer Tom’s riddle before they could claim the skull of Sir Adam and find their way back to Griselda’s hut and her Fey Crossings to return to Hyracanum.
Zabrina knew of three Fey Crossings near the hut and the party chose the one they believed Neyata took, which would deliver them to a fortress where her twin brother Garisul resided.
