Sailing the skies back to the floating Monastery of Elemental Order, the party decided to come clean and throw themselves on the mercy of Master Waitani, rather than steal for the Naga. Nevertheless, Saria scouted ahead invisibly and found the place oddly deserted.
The adventurers docked and announced themselves but heard no answer, so they went inside and searched the lower levels where they were set upon by the monks who were waiting in ambush. The adventurers were quickly neutralized and surrendered, telling Master Waitani everything.
The wise leader of the monastery took pity on them, recognizing their limited time, but he simply could not give them what the Naga wanted. Instead, he suggested they seek the help of the magical Couatl whose divine Goodness might impart a cure if they can earn its sympathy. To find it, they would need to make contact with the Aarakocra who worship it.
Accompanied by another monk, the party sailed back to the floating rock pool Aquaportal where the Aarakocra were waiting. As Agents of Good, they were most upset about Brother Jakim being left there hours ago. Sister Natto cleared things up and the Aarakocra agreed to help the party if they would help them first by slaying a Red Dragon.
