Vargouille Village

Come the dawn, Raksha informed the party that his patron was calling him to a different path and he left the party to return to Primovia. The rest headed east to the city-state of Talmain, then north to Lakrado in the Principality of Nictomada. From there, the foursome took the High Road east, skirting the Yellow Dunes with the city of Revaso more than two days away.
The first day brought them, after sundown, to the small town of Sacris which had just lost its Baron. On the outskirts, they were attacked by flying heads with leering faces and batwings for ears which dissolved when killed. The party soon learned that the town was under threat from more of these Vargouilles which replicate themselves by cursing victims with a fiendish kiss.
That night, a dozen more Vargouilles took flight, victims of the original spawn. The party was able to kill them all but Venyk became a victim of the curse which worsened his condition by the hour. If it could not be stopped, if the original Vargouille could not be killed in time, his head would detach and join the diabolical flock gestating among the town’s victims.
